The Training

What is this training?

This stimulating and intensive one-day workshop offers graduates of our Fundamentals training an opportunity to practice newly acquired skills and techniques in a safe, non-discriminatory and ultimately refreshing environment.

The day is open only to those who have completed our original two-day intensive workshop and will bring you in line with the new development of the course.

If you are interested in further developing practical understanding of the Dyslexia Aware therapeutic techniques and devices you learnt on your original Fundamentals course –  this is the route for you.

What you’ll be getting?

One-day Intensive Workshop

By popular request, we are now including this additional day full of highly experiential skills training, role play, case studies and live supervision demonstrations –  putting into practice the theory gained in the preceding two-day course.

You will join a like-minded group of individuals all of whom have completed our original Fundamentals course.  Many graduates asked us to develop a skills training day to try out in depth all the strategies and theories they had learnt – this is it!

As Fundamentals Graduates you know this environment is non-clinical, relaxed and harmonious and encourages Dyslexic professionals to ‘be themselves’ in the best possible way.  It is not only about skills training but about replenishment, community and self-knowledge.

We will cover in a practical sense all the content of the Fundamentals course such as philosophy, coaching strategies, role-playing, mindfulness, psycho-education, discussion, presentations, supervision and much more.

I'm writing to thank you very much for the workshop, the content and manner of delivery were top notch. I learned a great deal, and it was set in such a relaxed atmosphere, and lovely surroundings too!..what more can one ask for.

Superseded my expectations - I came away with a far deeper understanding of the cost of dyslexia, and an enhanced awareness of what needs to be thought about

Really enjoyable workshop in all its dimensions i.e. environment, teaching, learning from other people's experiences.

One of the best courses I have been on. To be with like-minded people helped free me from the critic within.

Excellent all round - very enriching and exhilarating, developing greater confidence in myself.

Pennie Aston's untold knowledge requires greater recognition in the field of dyslexia - Congratulations GroOops.

Amazing experience - 2 days where I have felt safe with everyone.

The course helped me to have a framework on how to go about assessing and understanding the needs of the client and how to respond to those needs in the way that works for the client.
